Pastor

A native son of Jamaica, Pastor O. A. Palmer is grateful to God for the privilege to be the under-shepherd of the Palm Springs family here in South Florida. God has blessed him with a beautiful family.  His wife, Sheryl, is a native of Honduras and their union has produced two sons—PJ and Noah.

Pastor Palmer matriculated through Canadian University College, now Burman University, from which he graduated with a B.A. degree in Religion.  Subsequent to that he pursued and attained a Masters of Divinity degree at the Andrews SDA theological Seminary in Michigan.  He has also completed Clinical Pastoral Training and is currently endorsed and certified as Clinical Chaplain and Pastoral Counselor.  Currently, he is a Ph.D Candidate for a terminal degree in Addiction Counselling.

Having served in the Ontario Conference for over twelve years, and the Nevada-Utah Conference for four years, he is proud to celebrate the past two years as the senior pastor of the Palm Springs Seventh-day Adventist church in the Florida Conference. He has extensively served in various external capacities on committees and currently volunteers at local Hospitals, Hospice as well as the Sheriff’s department.

Pastor Palmer has treasured being an Evangelist of the Gospel with due assiduousness throughout the Caribbean, Canada, Europe and United States of America and continues to emblazon the fiber of this world with the content of God’s love.

One philosophy he holds dearly is “…Not by might nor by power but by my Spirit says the Lord”—Ephesians 5:6.
